The Sound of I n t e n t i o n: How I Curate Meditation Music

I n t e n t i o n brings together meditation music with an acoustic presence: singing bowls, flute, chimes, and arrangements that leave room for individual sounds.

I’m drawn to the way those instruments interact with the rest of a recording. Sometimes they stand on their own; other times, they sit within electronic textures or a more developed composition. The selection reflects that range, with music I genuinely enjoy sharing rather than one fixed approach to meditation sound.

Giving Music Room to Settle In

I don’t work toward a weekly replacement deadline. Once added, a track can stay in the playlist for months when it continues to fit.

That’s a personal approach, not a promise about streams or placement length. I like giving listeners time to become familiar with a recording, whether it accompanies meditation or simply becomes something they enjoy hearing during a quieter part of the day.

There’s still room for new discoveries. I just don’t think adding something new always requires removing a piece that belongs.

What I Listen For

I review submissions myself, listening for tone, pacing, and how each recording sits alongside the existing selection.

Acoustic instrumentation, restrained electronic layers, and spacious arrangements are all part of the direction. A simple piece can be a strong fit. It doesn’t need a long list of instruments or an elaborate concept to hold my attention.

You’ll find music from East Forest, Jane Winther, and Mirabai Ceiba alongside other artists exploring meditation music and acoustic sound. Their different approaches help shape the selection without turning it into a formula every submission has to follow.

I’m looking for music with its own character that I think the audience will enjoy returning to.

Share the Music You Connect With

If a recording connects with you, save the track, visit the artist’s profile, or explore the release it comes from. Sharing the playlist with someone who enjoys meditation music is welcome too.

Helping people discover artists they’ll keep listening to is a big reason I curate. The playlist is an introduction, and I hope it encourages you to hear more from the musicians behind it.

Submit Your Music

If you make acoustic meditation music, sound bath recordings, or ambient arrangements with a similar focus, I’d love to hear it.

Send a released track and a short note about the instruments or approach behind it. I listen for the playlist’s sound and flow, so not every submission will make it in—but I appreciate you sharing your work.
