What I Listen for When Choosing Music for My Hand-Curated Playlists

A track might not have much depth, but something about its melody and structure, paired with its originality, catches my attention.

Other times, it’s the originality and depth that draw me in. The creativity may not be obvious, but I think there’s a level of creativity in depth.

I’m looking for tracks that make me feel something. Maybe they’re inspiring in one way or another, or they just make me feel good. Something that makes me smile and say, “Damn, great work.”

I’m not looking for specific instruments or tunings, or anything rigid like that. It just has to feel right and flow with the vibe of the playlist.
